Torn
Earlobe Repair
The earlobe can become torn or split due to trauma
or heavy earrings. The piercing sites may also become too long or
widen over time. This can lead to either a complete or incomplete
torn earlobe. The torn earlobe or wide piercing site can be corrected
with a quick in-office procedure performed under local anesthesia.
Re-piercing of the ear will subsequently be performed
by Dr. Albert Fox after the repair has completely healed, to ensure
symmetry and proper piercing of the healed incision site.
With age, earlobes can also become excessively long,
asymmetric or blunted. Earlobe surgery can help to correct these
changes.
