Brow
Lift/Endoscopic Forehead Lift
The most common sign of the aging forehead is brow
ptosis (brow sagging). This can begin in our thirties. As the brow
sags, the youthful arch of the eyebrow begins to flatten. In addition,
the falling eyebrow can lead to excess skin or “hooding”
to form along the upper eyelid. The combination of drooping eyebrows,
loss of the youthful arch of the brow, “hooding” and
forehead wrinkles can lead to a tired or even angry appearance.
Browlift procedures can raise and reshape the eyebrows,
lift and tighten the forehead and soften the vertical creases between
the brows. A number of different techniques can be used to lift
the brows. Dr. Albert Fox specializes in a minimally invasive browlift
procedure, performed through very small incisions hidden in the
scalp using a small camera or endoscope.
A browlift can be combined with other procedures such
as a blepharoplasty
or facelift
to achieve a more youthful appearance. Dr. Fox emphasizes a natural
and balanced result. A complete facial analysis and cosmetic consultation
with Dr. Albert Fox can determine if you are an appropriate
candidate for this procedure.
Recovery
Recovery time for browlifting procedures are typically
7 to 10 days. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis
under “twilight anesthesia” or general anesthesia if
desired.
